The Glenorchy District Junior Football Club was established back in 1975 to develop young footballers and to give them a pathway to achieve higher rewards in the sport of Australian Rules Football. The club currently has teams in U/8, U/9, U/10, U/11, U/12, and youth aged teams: U/13, U/14, U/15 all competing in competitions organised by the STJFL.

Auskick is also provided by the Junior Club with the assistance of the Senior players of Glenorchy District Football Club.

Both Senior and Junior clubs work closely together to benefit the community and its citizens in the game of Australian Football.

There are usually over 200 participants at Junior and Youth level.
